An amazing roadtrip in UK!

Hello everyone! Today I have to tell you about our amazing road trip in the UK! :)

On this road trip Sverre, Per and I drove a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ss ZL1 with a turbo charged 580hp engine. In my opinion the car is fantastic. It does 0-60 in only 3,9 seconds. The interior is also very nice and the comfort is astonishing.

Here is a picture of the car.

Day 1:
We left Cardiff as soon as we rented the car. Then we drove our nice Camaro to LANG. LANG is a restaurant in The Shard, a viewing building in London.

The three of us had a nice meal. The Shard is so high and had absolutely stunning view, so we enjoyed our meal looking at beautiful London. After this meal, we went to Oxford to look at the nice streets, and we ate some Belgian waffles for dessert. Then we had to go to an intense football match! Arsenal - Real Madrid! The match was played at Emirates a BEAUTIFUL stadium.

The game ended 3-3. One of the most intense matches I have ever seen. After the match, we went to a pub. After the match, we went to drink a few beers! The bar The Hoop and Grapes was our place to visit. It was very fun to be at this bar and we had a good time there, very fun! After this, we went back to the hotel for a small drink.

This was a long day with a lot of action, so we went to bed before a new exciting day. Corinthia Hotel London, was the hotel we slept in.

Day 2
At 08 o clock we left London. Nottingham was the next stop, and the plan was to stay there for some hours and then go to Liverpool where we would stay for two days. After approximately three and a half hours on the road we arrived in Nottingham. Nottingham is in the middle of England and not a too great of a detour. On the way out of London the traffic was heavy and there was a terrible queue. Sverre realized that it was not really a smart move to book a hotel in the middle of a city with over eight million inhabitants who drive on the left side of the road. We were close to many accidents on our way, but fortunately Per managed to get us out of the city alive.
The highway to Nottingham was the road we chose, with only some small stops to fill fuel and eating once in a café by the road. The food was terrible. The sandwiches with ham, cheese and some kind of very bad tasting omelette was not good at all. When we finally arrived in Nottingham, Sverre and I went to the Robin Hood museum. I am a very big Robin Hood fan, so I loved the museum very much. Sverre and I ended up spending so much time in the museum that we had to use much less time in the rest of Nottingham and go straight to Liverpool.
We arrived in Liverpool right before midnight and checked in to the hotel. The time on the road had been very exhausting so Per and I went to bed, but Sverre stayed up to watch a movie. After the long ride Sverre convinced us, that is was the best if we could get something to eat. Per fell asleep just before we left so I had to wake him up, but he refused to get out of the bed. I went with Vegard down to a kebab restaurant some blocks away. And bought  big kebab.

The route for this day.

Day 3
Our alarm clock rang, around eleven so we missed the breakfast with. We were looking forward to the football match that would be played, later that night. Per and I ate in café and watched the local life, while Sverre went to Mc Donald’s and ate some cheeseburgers. The streets were mostly empty but that was probably because it was in the middle of the week. After the meal the plan was to visit John Lennon’s home. It was cool to look at the place he grew up. The place crawled with tourists. This was a great experience.
The match began at half past eight. One hour before the match started, we arrived at the stadium, and we had booked premium tickets. The view from our seats was amazing. The match was Liverpool versus Barcelona. In the end, the score was 3-1 to Liverpool. When the match ended, Sverre thought that it was a good idea to walk back to the hotel because we had a long trip ahead of us the next day.

Day 4:
After 5 hours and 335 km on the road. We finally arrived to our final destination, Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh was a hectic city with much traffic and noise. After some hours driving around the city in our yellow Camaro we found our hotel, I chose Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian to be the best hotel in the city and this was the place, we would stay for the night. When I had parked our car, I walked to the hotel reception to check in. Sverre, Per and I had paid 4500 Norwegian kroners each to get the best and biggest room. We were going to sleep as kings the last night of our trip.
After the three of us had checked in, we went out to eat a burger on Mc Donald’s. The plan for this day was that we should go and play some “bubble soccer”, this is a game of football, with a giant ball around your body, and you can bump as hard as you want into others without causing any damage on the other players. Sverre scored five goals in the match. Per and I played football for 3 hours. Sverre gave up after one; he walked to the car and took a nap.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, this is a Military musical spectacular filled with talented performers, pipes, drums, and visual lights and fireworks. This was the last thing we had planned to do this road trip. The location is magnificent; the weather was fine & warm. In addition, the artists & bands were extremely entertaining! After this amazing experience, I decided that it was best to go back to our hotel in our fantastic car.  Per got to drive back to the hotel this evening a decision he liked very much.  to get some sleep before our flight home the next morning.
This was an amazing show.

Day 5:
This was our last day in UK, our flight were supposed to leave Edinburgh at 13.00. We had a lot to do before we went to the airport. The three of us ate a fantastic breakfast at our hotel; it contained a lot of bacon, eggs and sausages. After the breakfast our slave carried the luggage to our yellow Camaro, before we drove to the place we had to give the car back to the rent company. We found Avis after a while and delivered the car. At 11.00 we took a taxi to the airport. After an hour of waiting, we finally boarded the plane. This was the end of the trip. It has been a lot of fun and we recommend everyone to do it.

This is our route for the road trip. It took a lot of time driving but it was fun and with good friends it was a very nice vacation.

A little quote to all of my fantastic readers.

Today we had to choose a quote we liked.
I choose: Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.
-Oscar Wilde.

I think it was a very good quote that says very much. I liked the meaning, and i agree that it is nothing that annoy your enemies more than forgive them. I like small and meaningful quotes and think it is nice remind yourself  some quotes when you do not know what to do. The best way to face angry people and people who is trying to get you angry is to give them a big smile. If you face bad mood with mood, the good alway wins.

Please leave a comment if you liked it! :)
